Here’s my version of the Coal Conveyor and Dump Truck. The motor uses three drive sprockets/ladder chain arrangements to drive the three actions of the model. The conveyor buckets are paper/tape tied to a couple of loops of string running over pulleys. The drive sprocket is at the lower right corner. The bucket flip over at the dump and dump their load on the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt is driven by a second sprocket/chain and mitre gear. The load travels down the belt and slides down a ramp to the truck waiting below. A third sprocket/chain arrangement drives a flywheel. An eccentric crank drives an axle back/forth through a piston.
